Why this page exists

Two strong shirts | The Italian cut, and the sizing rule | Printing and care

Two versions, both with strong colour identities, and one sizing rule you should not skip.

01

Two strong shirts

Inter blue-and-black, or Argentina sky blue and white. Both print well.

The Inter version is the one a club supporter wants: narrow blue and black stripes, which is a more restrained design than the other Milan shirt and one that takes a printed name well.

The Argentina version is the safer and more widely recognised gift. Sky blue and white stripes are identifiable everywhere, and a national shirt is not affected by a transfer.

Both versions in one place — decide by whether they follow the club or the country.

02

The Italian cut, and the sizing rule

This is the part people get wrong on this shelf.

Italian shirts sit close: narrower shoulder, shaped through the body. If you are used to an English shirt and order your usual size here, it will feel different.

Measure the chest rather than trusting a letter, and go up if you are between sizes. If it is going over anything at all, go up once more. An Italian shirt that is slightly too big is wearable; one that is slightly too small is not.

Measure

Chest, not a letter.

Between sizes

Go up.

Layering

One more size. Do not argue with it.

03

Printing and care

Striped bodies need one check, and the washing rules are universal.

On a striped shirt, check that the name set sits square to the shirt rather than following the stripes. A print aligned to the bars is the thing that looks wrong in a year.

Then: inside out, cold, no tumble dryer, never iron directly on the print. That is what keeps a name set intact.

On an Italian shirt, one size up is not a mistake. One size down is.

Questions people ask

Short answers, no fluff

The ones that come up most before buying on this shelf.

Inter shirt or Argentina shirt?

Inter for a club supporter, Argentina for a gift. The national shirt is more widely recognised and is not affected by a transfer.

Do Italian player shirts run small?

They run close rather than small — narrower shoulder and a shaped body. Measure the chest and go up if between sizes.

Is printing safe on a striped shirt?

Yes, but check that the name set sits square to the shirt rather than following the stripes.

How should I wash it?

Inside out, cold, no tumble dryer, and never iron directly on the print.
